Scott Allan was left fuming with Hibernian for their “poor” defending to allow Rangers to go 1-0 up.
The Gers went ahead in Sunday’s (5 January) game after just four minutes with Hamza Igamane getting on the end of Nedim Bajrami’s ball into the box.
It was the start to the afternoon Philippe Clement’s side wanted although they proved unable to build on it and had to settle for a point after a 3-3 draw.
Despite the Light Blues doing well to get themselves ahead, Allan was left questioning the Hibernian defence as he said live on BBC Radio Scotland (5 January, 12:08pm): “It’s a fantastic ball from Hagi, it’s a great weight.
“But you’ve got to question Rocky Bushiri defensively. He tries to be cute. And when you know Rangers are so confident from their previous game, you’ve got to play the fixture.
“It’s so poor and it starts with Lewis Miller a minute before giving the ball away, making Hibs nervous.”
Rangers draw 3-3 with Hibernian
After a 3-0 victory against rivals Celtic on Thursday (2 January), Igamane’s early goal at Easter Road will have been exactly what his side wanted as they look ahead to 2025 in the hope of seriously stepping up their form.
The 22-year-old continued to build on his impressive form for the campaign with his ninth goal in all competitions, before adding a further two to come away from the game with a hattrick showing how vital he will be to his boss for the remainder of the term.
Hibernian did make it too easy for the Gers especially so early in the game allowing Clement’s team to build on their momentum from their previous win with the hope of building upon it.
Unfortunately for the Gers though, they proved unable to show dominance throughout the game and instead let their opponents get back into it time and time again meaning they were left to settle for just a point in a 3-3 draw.
